COVID-19

We have previously provided you with the 18th Judicial Circuit’s Administrative Order regarding COVID-19 and the procedures the Brevard County Court is currently adhering to. Additionally, we have promised to update you regarding our office procedures and policies as they change.

At this time, our office is handling emergency situations and emergency hearings as a priority. Please refer to the Office Communication Policy where emergencies are explained as follows:

  • Emergencies: It is imperative that you clearly communicate with my office that you are experiencing an actual emergency. By necessity, we provide clients with an emergency priority in dealing with the situation at hand. While I realize that your litigation is extremely stressful to you, please understand that every event in your case is not a true emergency. If every client has an emergent problem all of the time, this really defeats the purpose of the prioritization of our legitimate emergencies.

If life or limb is at stake, please call 911. Also, please note that in a time of an emergency, the Office Communication Policy which was executed may require flexibility.

In the event that your case does not have an emergency, your questions and concerns will be calendared for review and response within 72 hours. Please bear in mind that this COVID-19 crisis has increased the volume of communications from all of our clients. Your communications will be addressed and responded to.

Please rest assured that our team will continue to provide you with excellent service. We hope that you will be understanding of the COVID-19 emergencies that we are currently focusing on in order to continue providing services through this crisis.

Our office is still hard at work, and you will receive updates on an as-needed basis through this time. We are prepared to handle all concerns that you may have regarding your case by way of scheduling a telephone conference or through electronic communication.

In the event that you do not have an emergency and have a question regarding your case, we are asking that you send an e-mail to your Paralegal with a copy to your Attorney. We are requesting that you make sure to copy all of the team members that are currently working on your case, as this will ensure that you receive a response in the most timely manner possible. Unless there is a true emergency, please send electronic communications when possible.

We understand that these are trying times for all. Our dedicated Attorneys, Paralegals, and staff members are doing their best to continue to keep you informed. Our firm is hopeful that we can remain fully operational throughout this crisis in order to serve our clients and the community diligently.

Again, please note that our office is physically closed due to COVID-19 and all communications until further notice will be by telephone or e-mail communication in order to provide social distancing.

Hoping that you and your families are safe and well.
